How AI Can Help a Small Business
Not strategy, not magic. Four places where AI removes real work in a small company today, and the one rule that keeps it from embarrassing you.

Most AI advice aimed at small businesses is either breathless or useless. The useful version is narrow: AI is good at producing a first draft of something repetitive, and at answering a question when it has been given the facts.
Here is where that actually pays in a small company.
1. Answering the same customer questions
Every business has ten questions it answers daily: opening hours, delivery time, whether you do X, how much roughly, do you come to my area.
An assistant on your website (€290) answers those immediately, at eleven at night and on Sunday, and passes anything else to a person.
The thing that makes this work rather than embarrassing is the knowledge base: we give the AI approved company information (from €490 for a full one) and instruct it to say it does not know rather than invent. An assistant that confidently invents a price is worse than no assistant.
2. Writing product descriptions at volume
If you have four hundred products, writing four hundred descriptions is weeks of work, and publishing the supplier’s text makes you identical to every competitor.
AI product descriptions (€100) draft them from your product data; a person reviews before publishing. The review is not optional — it is the step that catches the invented feature.
- AI product descriptions — €100
- AI translation — €100
- Description translation — €1 per product
- AI product image enhancement — €2 per product
3. Drafting replies
Your team still decides what to say; AI writes the first version. Customer support drafts (€150), email writing (€100), automatic replies to common questions (€150).
The measurable effect is response speed, and response speed is one of the few things customers notice immediately.
4. Answering questions about your own company
Larger teams lose time asking colleagues things that are written down somewhere: a procedure, a warranty condition, a price rule.
An internal AI assistant (€290) reads your own approved documents and answers those. It does not make decisions; it finds the paragraph.
The one rule
AI must answer from your facts, or say it does not know.
Everything that has gone publicly wrong with business AI comes from ignoring that: an assistant inventing a discount, a delivery promise, or a policy that does not exist. When we set one up, it is limited to approved information, it is tested with your real questions, and it is instructed to hand over rather than guess.
What AI will not do for you
- It will not replace knowing your customers.
- It will not fix a product nobody wants.
- It will not produce text you can publish without reading.
- It will not make a decision you should be making.
Where to start
If you answer the same questions all day: an assistant on the website. If you have hundreds of products: AI descriptions with review. If your team is slow to reply: AI drafts in the inbox. If none of those describe you: AI is probably not your next purchase, and we will tell you that rather than sell you one.
