How to Make Your Business Easier to Find on Google

What actually moves a business up in search, what takes months, and why nobody can honestly sell you a first position.

Search visibility is sold badly. It is described either as a mystery or as a guarantee, and it is neither. It is a set of unglamorous jobs that make your business easier for Google to understand and easier for a person to choose.

Start with the free thing most businesses neglect

Your Google Business Profile is the panel that appears when someone searches your company name, and the pin that appears when they search “[what you do] near me”. It is free, and most businesses fill in about a third of it.

Complete categories, services, opening hours, photos, and the description. Ask satisfied customers for reviews and reply to all of them, including the poor ones. For a local business this single item often produces more calls than anything else on the list.

  • Google Business Profile optimisation — €150
  • Google Maps visibility — €150
  • Local search visibility — from €190

Then make the website legible

Google reads structure, not enthusiasm. The work is:

  • One page per thing you sell, with the words customers actually use in the title and headings.

  • Text that answers the question, rather than describing how passionate the team is.

  • A site fast enough on a phone that visitors stay.

  • Technical basics: sensible addresses, no broken links, correct language tags.

  • Make your website easier to find on Google — €290

  • Google-friendly business text — €150

  • Website content improvement — €150

  • Website speed improvement — from €190

Use the words your customers use

The most common mistake is optimising for industry language. A business selling “modular luminaire systems” is invisible to everyone searching for “ceiling lights for an office”.

Competitor analysis (€100) is cheap and unglamorous, and it usually reveals that the terms you can realistically win are more specific and less prestigious than the ones you hoped for. That is good news: specific terms convert better.

How long it takes

Honestly:

  • Technical fixes and a completed business profile — effects within weeks.
  • Content work on specific, local or narrow terms — one to three months.
  • Broad, competitive commercial terms — many months, and sometimes not worth it.

Anyone promising the first position in six weeks is either guessing or selling something else. We publish a position report (€100) each month precisely because the honest answer is “here is where you are, month by month”.

Visibility in AI assistants

People increasingly ask ChatGPT or Gemini for a recommendation instead of searching. Those systems read the same structured business information Google does — your profile, your website, consistent details across directories.

AI visibility work (€150) is largely the same discipline: make the facts about your business clear, consistent and machine-readable, so an assistant describing you gets it right.

What we will not claim

We will not promise a ranking, a traffic figure or a number of calls. What we will do is the work listed above, and report what actually happened. If a term is not winnable for your budget, we will say so before you spend, not after.

Google Ads or Social Media Advertising?

One reaches people who are already looking. The other reaches people who were not. Which to use depends on what you sell, not on which platform is fashionable.
